The assignment is an individual literature review in form of an academic article. For the assignment, you are expected to formulate a purpose (a theme) to be addressed and reviewed as a result of the chosen articles for the review. You are expected to choose at least 8 research-based academic journal articles for your review. The essence is that you carefully choose, reflect and present the main argument that is presented in the articles chosen for your assignment. In your article, I expect you to discuss and categorize and/or contradict the arguments that are presented in each article. You are expected to thoroughly analyse the literature and draw conclusions in line of thought with the purpose of your paper. In order to achieve that you need to choose your articles carefully. The articles chosen for the assignment need to address themes within corporate ethics, sustainability, CSR and or any another theme related to the content of this course.
The article should be prepared according to the following guidelines:
(1) The length of articles is normally no greater than 3,000 words but should not exceed 3,500 words, including an abstract, key words and endnotes but excluding the list of references.
(2) At the beginning of the article, the title, abstract and a list of key words should immediately precede the text. Include the author’s name or any other identifying information.
(3) The length of the abstract should be approximately 250 words and include a sharp summary of the content of the article.
(4) Please use section headings in bold type, page numbers.
(5) All citations should be in “italics” and referred to by author (article) and page number.
(6) APA reference system must be used. In case you are not familiar with it, search help from LRC at the library of HKR.
(7) Language English, margins 2,5 (top, bottom, left, right), font times new roman, size 12, whether in normal, bold, or italic, including endnotes, spacing 1,5, page numbers at the bottom, center each page. Please do not insert line breaks in the text or special spacing for formatting.
(9) The paragraph break could be indicated by an extra line space or an indentation at the beginning of a paragraph.
(10) A complete list of reference
The individual paper is evaluated according to:
• Ability to search for and use relevant literature on the subject chosen
• Ability to interpret what the literature has to say on a certain topic
• Ability to use the literature to come to a conclusion (answer the purpose of your review article).
